The Mating Moon Hunt is an ancient hunt. The Omegas are the prize, while the other packs, Betas, Alphas compete to find and capture Omegas to take as mates during mate/rut week. Sapnap being a beta means he has to wait until the moon is in the sky for his hunt with the other Betas and lower level Alphas. Dream is there not for the hunt but to offer support to his beta. Dream moves closer to Sapnap as the horn is about to go off. “Remember. Any omega left is either scared, smart, or stubborn. If you’re lucky all three. They’ll try to trick you or wait you out. Don’t let them.” Then Dream stepped back to let the last members of the hunt begin as the horn sounds. The horn sounded and Sapnap took off. He ran to the creek bed and locked onto y/n scent of Moonflower, Sage and rain-soaked pine. Y/n is gonna try to stay unclaimed if they can. Y/n will run, and use all the tricks the other omegas have warned and tried to teach y/n about. Leaving false trails, hiding, covering ones scent with the forest or using creek beds and water. The problem is that Sapnap loves the effort y/n is putting in, and it’s making him track them down harder before anyone else can.
