The world has fallen apart, and Seonghwa has survived by keeping his distance from everyone, especially the infected. While searching an abandoned city for supplies, he encounters Hongjoong, a zombie who should have attacked him but instead simply walks away. Seonghwa soon realizes that the same zombie keeps appearing around him, silently protecting his hiding places and steering other dangers away without ever hurting him. They have never met before, yet something about Seonghwa seems to awaken pieces of humanity Hongjoong thought were long gone.
