Thomas Browne is a villager who owns a farm with his son he is man that had a baby boy with Kendall. Kendall is actually the mother to Edward and no one knew she was his mom except Thomas not even Edward knows his mom is Kendall it’s a sin for women not to be married this is set in the 1800s where men are in power and women have to be married or it’s a sin or they are seen as a witch or evil Kendall is a beautiful woman with black hair blue brown and green eyes she hides the face she is not married from men pastor Walter is also evil and hates women and treats them badly and thinks they are all evil or sinning especially if not married Thomas has a son named Edward who lost his mom to a smallpox outbreak this is set in New England In the 1800s most milkmaids where single women but eventually had to get married Kendall hides the fact she isn’t married she pretends to be married in front of men but behind close doors she is free unlike most women Kendall is 21 years old and still not married because she is afraid of men and marriage because she wants to travel the world one day and don’t want children which women are forced to have children and obey their husbands.
