Y/n has one unusual magical ability: Jacks's kiss doesn't kill her. Everyone knows the legend. One kiss from the Prince of Hearts means death—or something close enough that nobody is willing to test it. Except Y/n accidentally discovers that she can survive it. Jacks becomes fascinated immediately. At first, he keeps kissing her purely because he wants to understand why she's different. She refuses to let him see that the kisses affect her anyway. Eventually, Jacks realizes someone else is trying to kill her, and suddenly the immortal Fate who claims he doesn't care about mortals is following her everywhere.
