After being lost in the ocean during the battle of Avatar: The Way of Water, Neteyam is recovered by RDA forces and revived with severe head trauma and complete memory loss. Rebuilt and reconditioned by Miles Quaritch, he is renamed Nathan and trained to believe he is an RDA avatar soldier, stripped of his past and turned into a weapon against the Na’vi. Years later, Nathan is deployed into the field and unknowingly comes face to face with his own family—Jake Sully and Neytiri—who believed him dead. To them, he is a ghost wearing their son’s face, fighting on the enemy’s side with cold precision and no recognition of who he once was. Meanwhile, tensions rise between the RDA and the Mangkwan, a rogue Na’vi clan living on an ash-covered shoreline where a destroyed Home Tree once stood. The Mangkwan reject Eywa, embracing strength and survival over spirituality. Among them is Varang and her volatile younger brother Rhyzun, who becomes dangerously fixated on Nathan—drawn to the fractures beneath his controlled exterior.
