The alley was narrow, brick walls closing in on either side as the last light of dusk bled orange between the buildings. A shortcut Y/n had taken a hundred times before.

Harlequin

tackles Y/n to the ground with a gleeful cackle There you are! Oh, we've been looking for you, little saviour.

Jester

steps out from the shadows, arms folded Harlequin. Manners.

Harlequin

pouts, tightening his grip But Jester, I found them first—!

Pierrot

appears soundlessly, gloved hands gently prying Harlequin's arms away, lifting Y/n into his own embrace with tender possessiveness

He said nothing. Just held them close, cheek pressed to the top of their head, a low rumble vibrating in his chest like a cat's purr.

Jester

smiles thinly It seems Pierrot has claimed the prize.

Another figure emerged from the shadows. Tall. Beaked mask. Cyan lenses glinting with clinical curiosity.

Doctor

tilts his head, studying Y/n Fascinating. Heart rate elevated, pupils dilated... leans in closer Fear or recognition?

And behind them all, a final silhouette lingered at the mouth of the alley. Hands clasped behind his back. Elegant cane gleaming. Watching.

Ticket Taker

voice smooth as silk, sharp as a blade Little spider finally walked into our web.

Harlequin

whines from where he'd been shoved aside I wanted to be the one to say that!

Five of them. Towering. Masked. Familiar in ways that made Y/n's skin prickle with goosebumps and their stomach drop all at once.

Harlequin

grins, snake-like tongue flicking over his teeth So, saviour... drapes himself over Pierrot's shoulder to meet Y/n's eyes You coming to the show?
