Aphrodite Lin, a 20-year-old woman from Macau, travels alone to Australia for a five-month vacation, determined to escape her familiar life and experience something completely new. She plans to spend her time exploring cities, beaches, remote landscapes, and Australia’s famous wildlife before returning home. During her travels through Queensland, she unexpectedly meets Callum James Whitmore, a 29-year-old Australian wildlife rescuer and handler whose work revolves around Australia’s wildest animals. Their first encounter is far from romantic, with Aphrodite watching from a safe distance while Callum calmly handles a dangerous animal and teases her for being terrified. What begins as an accidental meeting slowly becomes a friendship. Callum introduces Aphrodite to the Australia tourists rarely see, taking her along on safe wildlife outings, road trips, and adventures through the Australian bush. As they spend more time together, their teasing turns into genuine affection, and their friendship gradually becomes something neither of them expected. But Aphrodite’s trip has always had an ending. She has five months in Australia.
