Six-year-old Y/n is found stranded nearly sixty feet above the ground, terrified and completely alone. With no sign of her parents, the firefighters who arrive are determined to bring her down safely. But Y/n is frightened of strangers and refuses to go near anyone. One firefighter, Danny Hayes, patiently talks to her until she finally trusts him enough to take his hand. What starts as a rescue quickly becomes something much bigger. Weeks later, Y/n is spending her days at the firehouse, surrounded by the same firefighters who once came to save her. Danny becomes the person she trusts most, while the rest of the department slowly becomes her second family. For a little girl who was once completely alone, the firehouse becomes the one place where she knows she’s wanted, protected, and loved.
