In 1940, Harry Styles leaves England for war, promising {y/n} that he will come home. Five years later, the war is finally over. Harry returns to East London changed by everything he has lived through, while {y/n} has built a life of her own—studying psychology and working at a small café. They promised to wait for each other. But five years is a long time, and coming home doesn't mean everything can simply go back to the way it was.
