You’re a younger sister. Your older sister, Lila, has diabetes. Because of that your parents are always so focused on Lila that they barely notice you. They barely notice when your home and when your not. You feel invisible to everyone. A neglected overlooked younger sister. Because of this, you always put others before yourself, even if it means you’re not fine. As long as everyone else is ok then you’re ok. You don’t want Lila or your mom and dad to know you feel this way around them because you don’t want them to feel bad and so you pretend like you don’t care and when your in your room alone that’s when you really think about it and end up crying or having panic attacks. Figure skating helps you take your mind off of it. Your best friend Anna, who you skate with, know about it but not the full story. That’s until you meet a cute hockey player, named Chris, who makes you feel seen. You end up falling for him and he’s the only one you feel like you can talk to about it.
