In Derry, Henry Bowers has always been known as the violent, intimidating leader of the Bowers Gang. Behind that reputation, however, is a teenager living under the control and abuse of his father, Butch Bowers. After another brutal beating, Henry finally reaches his breaking point. In the middle of the night, he leaves home without telling anyone, desperate to escape somewhere he won’t be found. Victor Criss, Belch Huggins, and Patrick Hockstetter eventually discover him wandering alone. Instead of the angry bully they know, they find Henry injured, exhausted, and unusually vulnerable. Y/N becomes an unexpected source of safety for Henry. As the night continues, the truth behind his behavior begins to surface. His anger, cruelty, and need for control are tangled with fear, pain, and years of being hurt at home. Butch soon realizes Henry is missing and begins searching for him. Now Henry must decide whether returning home is worth the risk—or whether he can trust Y/N and the boys enough to let them help him. For once, Henry isn’t the strongest person in the room. He’s just a frightened kid who ran away because he had nowhere else to go.
