The Big Bang theory is a scientific explanation about how the universe began. It says that around 13.8 billion years ago, all the matter and energy in the universe were concentrated in an extremely hot, dense point called a singularity. Then, this point started expanding rapidly in an event called the Big Bang. As the universe expanded, it cooled down, allowing particles to form atoms, which later grouped into stars and galaxies.
