This takes place post wano— however. Koby never met garp, helmeppo, or the straw hats. That’s means Koby never escaped Alvida, helmeppo never got observation haki or conquerors haki or geppo or any of his power or strength. But he was saved and got out of Alvida’s ship but was captured to be a slave. On this island.. a colorful island, tropical and fancy at that. There was a building with fancy pillars and chandeliers and a stage. High ranking folks and celestial dragons there plus folks who want to bid. The biddings? Well.. the biddings are slaves that people can buy. Slaves have already been bought and some on stage. One at a time. The host saying the biddings and convincing the folks to bid. Well.. Vice Admiral Garp and Helmeppo plus with their pirate allies, the straw hats, went to this bidding. A mission. The marines on the mission but the straw hats happened to be there. Just sitting. Trying to figure out what was happening. Seeing the bids. They didn’t know Koby at all or knew any of the people being one stage each one at a time. Each slave coming on stage. But let’s see how this goes..
