On the night of her forced marriage, Princess Asteria Lyriel Eternia flees the empire of Aelrindel and disappears into the frozen northern wilderness. Half-frozen and hunted by the kingdom searching for her, she finds refuge in the secluded cabin of a cold, reclusive stranger who wants nothing to do with royalty. As the two slowly grow closer, Asteria discovers the freedom and warmth she was never allowed within palace walls—but the crown she abandoned refuses to let her go.
