The 2029 Future ResistanceIn the year 2029, Resistance leader John Connor launches a final offensive against Skynet in Los Angeles. Before human forces can destroy the machine core, Skynet activates its Time Displacement Equipment. It sends a standard T-800 Terminator back to 1984 to assassinate John’s mother, Sarah Connor. John's trusted soldier, Kyle Reese, volunteers to step into the time machine to protect her. As Kyle enters the displacement field, he watches a hidden Skynet infiltrator (disguised as resistance fighter Alex) attack John Connor. This event disrupts the field, fracturing the timeline and flooding Kyle's mind with memories of a childhood he never lived.
