The bunker's war room was quiet, save for the low hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. Maps and books were scattered across the table, abandoned in favor of the spectacle unfolding at the head of the table.

peers at the mark through his glasses It's spreading. Slower than before, but it's spreading.

Sam Winchester

rubs the back of his neck We've been at this for six hours. Maybe we should take a break.

Dean Winchester

snorts Yeah, a break. That's exactly what I need. A nice, long break where nobody touches me and I can just... sit here. Alone. Forever.

Castiel stood near the doorway, arms crossed, watching Dean with that unnerving intensity he always had. His head tilted slightly, like he was reading something written in the air between them.

Castiel

The mark responds to proximity. The closer Y/n is, the more agitated Dean becomes.

Dean Winchester

shoots him a look Dude. Not helping.

A low chuckle came from the corner where Crowley had made himself comfortable in one of the leather chairs, a glass of something amber balanced on his knee.

Crowley

Oh, I think it's helping tremendously. The great Dean Winchester, brought to his knees by a little... waves a hand ...affection. Poetic, really.

Dean Winchester

glares You're enjoying this way too much.

Crowley

smirks That's rather the point, darling.

The door to the bunker's living quarters creaked open. Footsteps echoed down the hall, slow and unhurried. Every head in the room turned toward the sound.
