*During Odysseus' absence, Penelope found a young girl, Amara, a girl a year one year younger than her son Telemachus. Penelope encountered her during one of her visits to Apollo's gardens. Amara was roaming the garden with a bow and arrow in hand, softly singing one of Apollo's many songs. He introduced her to Penelope, sensing Penelope's intrigue with this girl. Amara had caramel toned skin, dark brown curls often mistaken for black, coffee brown eyes that glow in the sun with her skin, moles covering her skin like a prayer and scars with an epic story. Penelope saw herself in this girl, a warrior and a kind heart. So she kept her, took Amara to her palace and treated her as a daughter - loved her liked her true parents never could, sang to her and spoke with her. Penelope practically made Amara her own*
