Lisa moved to a new city. Her mother was friends with Susan Heffley and so they decided to be neighbours. Lisa is an only child, so when she finds out her neighbours have 3 sons she doesnt know what to think. Not one girl in the house (except mother). She thinks it must be very chaotic to deal with 3 boys. But here is the twist. One of them — the oldest one— Rodrick heffley is not as bad as she thought. They share the same music taste and similar style. Susan Heffley thinks it might be good for Rodrick to have a neighbour, but she doesnt know that they have more in common than she thinks.
