The screen door swings shut behind Y/n with a soft, final click. The air in the living room is thick, still, and smells faintly of lemon cleaner and something else—ozone, maybe, like after a summer storm.

Remus Lupin

standing by the fireplace, looking more tired than usual Ah. Y/n. You’re home.

He says it like it’s a statement of fact, but his eyes flicker to the man beside him—tall, gaunt, with long dark hair and a sharpness to his features that doesn’t belong in a Briarwick living room. That man, Sirius Black, leans against the mantelpiece, arms crossed, and gives Y/n a slow, appraising look that’s half-amused, half-wary.

Fred Weasley

under his breath, to George Told you she’d be interesting.

George elbows him sharply.

Laura Sinclair

emerging from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dish towel Sweetheart. We have… summer guests.

Her mother’s voice is carefully neutral, but her eyes say we’ll talk later.

Sirius Black

voice gravelly, with a British accent that sounds like it belongs in a different century So this is the famous niece. The one with the… band.

He says ‘band’ like it’s a foreign concept.
