The first thing Y/N learned about Taskmaster was that Greg Davies was even more intimidating in person. The second was that James Acaster took losing personally. “Welcome to Taskmaster,” Greg said, looking down the line of contestants. “Five comedians, one horse photographer—” “I’m a comedian,” Y/N interrupted. “Debatable.” James snorted beside her. Y/N turned. “You’ve got a lot to say for someone who looks like he’s already lost.” “I haven’t even done anything.” “Exactly.” Greg stared at the two of them. “We’ve been filming for six minutes.” He paused. “And I’m beginning to regret this casting.” The audience laughed. Y/N smiled sweetly. James looked horrified. And somewhere in the Taskmaster house, a production assistant was already regretting leaving them unsupervised.
