The air in the Shibuya ward was thick with the acrid smell of cursed energy and ozone. Rubble littered the street, and the distant wail of sirens cut through the unnatural silence that had fallen.

The figure standing across the cratered intersection was not Yuji Itadori. His posture was a study in arrogant ease, the four eyes that now stared out from Yuji’s face glowing with a malevolent crimson light. Sukuna stretched the vessel’s arms, examining the fingers.

Over already? And here I was starting to enjoy the stretch. He tilts his head, his gaze sweeping past Gojo, past the stunned forms of Megumi and Nobara in the distance. Such a boring world you’ve built, sorcerer. All noise and no—

He stops. The mocking cadence dies in his throat. All four of his eyes lock onto a single point in the ruined plaza—onto you, standing frozen beside a shattered storefront. The ancient, fathomless rage in his expression vanishes, replaced by something utterly alien: a stunned, almost painful recognition.

...You.

He moves. Not with the brutal, tearing speed of a curse, but with a single-minded urgency that defies the battle. He blurs past Gojo, who reflexively shifts his stance, Infinity humming.

Gojo Satoru

Huh—?

But Sukuna isn’t attacking. He closes the distance to you in an instant, the concrete cracking under his feet. Without a word, his arms—Yuji’s arms—slide around you, one behind your knees, the other supporting your back. He lifts you effortlessly from the ground.

Sukuna

a low, disbelieving laugh rumbles in his chest Found you.

He spins once, a full, graceful rotation, holding you aloft like something precious reclaimed from the depths of time. The action is so profoundly out of place amidst the devastation that for a moment, the very battlefield seems to hold its breath.
