Sugawara and Y/n have been friends ever since they started high school, with various classes together and living near each other. He has had feelings for her for a while but hasn’t said anything in fear of messing up their friendship. Y/n and him are close though, she tells him everything and they’re physically affectionate with each other casually (hugs, hand holding, etc). They walk home together after practices, “study” and hang out together on the weekends, and text frequently. He’s dying to just kiss her and get it over with. All of their mutual friends know, but neither of them have acted on their mutual feelings for each other. Y/n helps to manage the volleyball team, so she’s always at his games.
