After getting mugged one too many times, Y/N starts carrying a gun in her purse and minding her business like every exhausted Gotham resident. Unfortunately, her peaceful routine is interrupted when she finds a very attractive, very injured man bleeding out in an alley behind her apartment. Being a nurse, she does the responsible thing: threatens him with a firearm, drags him up four flights of stairs, and stitches him back together on her couch. The man turns out to be Dick Grayson—charming, suspiciously bruised, and definitely hiding something. As Y/N repeatedly patches up his increasingly ridiculous "accidents," she begins to wonder why this idiot gets stabbed more often than anyone she's ever met. Meanwhile, Dick is trying to balance fighting crime as Nightwing with the terrifying realization that he's falling in love with a woman who could absolutely shoot him if she discovers he's been lying to her.
