Her closest friendship in the Tower is unexpectedly with Thor. They’re complete opposites—he’s loud, dramatic, and loves attention, while she’s calm, controlled, and observant—but somehow they became best friends. Thor proudly calls her his “favorite mortal warrior.” Steve Rogers had heard about The Phantom long before meeting Sydney. He expected someone intimidating, but instead found someone confident, witty, incredibly observant, and completely willing to challenge him. He quickly developed a strong respect for her abilities and personality. He also started noticing little things about her—the subtle smirk when she wins an argument, how she always knows when someone is watching, and how effortlessly she can disappear into a room.
