Y/N is a pro hero from New York whose life has been shaped by the harsh control and conditioning of the HPSC experimental system. During a mission against a powerful villain, a quirk-based impact displaces Y/N entirely, sending them across dimensions into Japan. They land directly in the middle of an active pro hero operation involving Stain, immediately drawing attention as an unknown, unregistered foreign anomaly. With no clear way to return home and no classification within Japan’s hero system, Y/N is taken into cautious custody for evaluation. As Y/N struggles to adjust to an unfamiliar hero society, they slowly become entangled with Japan’s pro heroes, particularly Shota Aizawa, who eventually becomes their legal guardian, and Present Mic, who becomes a consistent emotional presence in their life. Through ongoing integration into the hero system and interaction with U.A.’s environment, Y/N begins navigating a world that does not have a place prepared for them. Caught between worlds, Y/N must face trauma, identity displacement, and systemic uncertainty while slowly learning what it means to exist in a place where they were never meant to arrive.
