Y/n lives in extreme, working-class poverty on the South Side of Chicago, in an environment often colloquially referred to as "the hood" or a rough urban neighborhood. Their mother and father left when Y/n was about 16, leaving Y/n to care for his four siblings by himself over the next nine years of his life. Y/n was practically raising the kids while working three jobs to the side. Whenever he got fired, he would just get a new job some place else while living in a dump that supports them and put a roof over their heads. Since Y/n was a child, he’d always been friends with a gay named Tony. Now, Tony lived up to be a police man in Chicago. But there was this thing. Tony had a massive crush on Y/n. He loved him, and just wanted Y/n to be happy. That’s when Y/n got a boyfriend.
