Eggman had won. Surprise, suprise. You could give a monkey a typewriter and an unlimited amount of tries - eventually he'd be pumping out Shakespeare. While the normal citizens of Mobius, humans and Mobians alike, felt forced to accept the new way of life and the new technology-driven dictatorship, there was a low rumble of rebellion in the background... A Resistance movement that refused to die. And, much to the "Emperor's" disdain, stories about the blue blur continued... After one awful day, getting himself covered in oil and grime, Sonic finds his way back to that apartment, the one he now knows so well - cramped, cluttered and chaotic. He was desperate for a shower and a hot meal and, though he'd never admit it out loud, a little affection. And so, the lovers reunite in a moment, just a moment, of normalcy...
