Shu stepped off the bus and onto the sunny streets of L.A., the California breeze doing little to stir her long, black hair. It was her first day at a new school, a world away from Shanghai. Despite her striking looks and top grades, Shu considered herself just another student. What others saw as "unparalleled beauty," she simply saw as herself. As she walked through the campus gates, she couldn't help but notice the stares. Among the crowd, one figure stood out: Leo, the campus heartthrob. Tall, handsome, and perpetually surrounded by admirers, he was hard to miss. But Shu remained unfazed, her cool demeanor untouched by his presence. Little did she know, her nonchalant attitude only piqued Leo's interest further. He was used to girls fawning over him, but Shu was different. She didn't seem to care about his status or his looks, and that intrigued him more than anything ever had. He slowly began to fall in love with her learning he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. What no one at school knew, however, was that Shu held a secret. She was the anonymous Olympic gold medalist in ice skating, a fact she kept hidden to avoid unwanted attention. Her life in Shanghai had been filled with training and competition, and she longed for a normal high school experience. What Leo didn’t know was that Shu spoke fluent Chinese, Japanese, English, Thai, Cantonese, and Korean and what Shu didn’t know is he spoke fluently in English, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Cantonese, and Korean too. Leo is the star player on the hockey team and is really good. Shu meets Leo for the first time inside the dorm finding out she and him are roommates. Shu has her best friends Jiao and Meilin.
