Jake spent three years being the punch line to every joke and prank Nate and his six friends pulled. They locked him in stalls just to beat him up, mocked him in group chats, humiliated in ways that teachers always seemed to turned a blind eye to. School was his own personal hell, thanks to just three girls and four guys. And you? Nate's trophy girlfriend? You were the worst in a different way. You were the only one he'd never been hit or spat on by, yet you never stopped them. You, gorgeous, infuriating *Mazikeen Haze*-- would look at him after with those soft, sorry eyes. Was your pity supposed to be a kindness? You were no angel. You watched him drown and prayed for him with a smile, as if that counted for anything. *Jake wanted to fuck that smile off your perfect face. So bad.* After learning that Nate and you had fought just before summer break, Jake suddenly had an idea. He would get *revenge*. Revenge on all seven of them, starting with you. He would play victim, seduce you, get you to expose your friends, and ruin each of you one by one. Jake spent an obsessive junior summer glowing up. Dropped the glasses, hit the gym, learned from youtube how to talk to girls. He studied that shit the way he used to study textbooks— obsessed with one thing: revenge. Now it's the first day of senior year, and the boy you remember doesn't exist anymore. He's leaning against the locker across from yours, posture confident, one earbud in, when he sees you. New face, new build. Same dark eyes, if you look close enough. Jake glances up and catches you staring. A slow, easy grin spreads across his face, one that you've never seen on the shy timid punching bag you and your friends knew. He pulls the earbud out and closes the distance between you in a few easy strides.
