Shifters Academy is an elite supernatural boarding school where young shifters learn to control their abilities, master their animal forms, train in combat, and understand the complicated hierarchy of the supernatural world. The academy houses many different supernatural bloodlines: dragons, tigers, lions, ravens, phoenixes, fae, and countless other shifters. Power determines social status at the academy. The strongest students are feared and respected, while weaker or inexperienced shifters are often dismissed or bullied. The academy is also heavily influenced by ancient bloodlines, family alliances, mate bonds, and supernatural politics. The newest student arrives having only recently discovered her supernatural abilities. Because she has little training and appears inexperienced, the faculty initially assumes she is one of the weaker students. To ensure her safety, the academy assigns two of its strongest students—Damien Blackwood and Tate Landon—to watch over her. Damien hates the assignment. The new girl hates being watched. Neither expects the situation to become much more complicated.
