Lorenzo dropped his bag by the stairs, already pulling off his coat. He was grinning, loose-limbed, the kind of relaxed you only got when you were away from Hogwarts.

A small shape darted between their legs.

She was a blur of dark curls and a too-big jumper, her little boots thudding against the wood floor as she ran straight past everyone, disappearing into the living room.

Mattheo lunged after her, grabbing her around the waist and swinging her up into his arms. She squealed, kicking her legs.

He shot a look over his shoulder, dark eyes landing on you. Something flickered there. Annoyance, maybe.

He winked at you, hooking a thumb toward the back of the cabin.

Isabella squirmed in Mattheo's grip, pointing a tiny finger at you.
