A shove from behind nearly sent you sprawling into the locker. You caught yourself, whipping around.

smirking, flanked by two giggling friends Watch where you're standing, loser. Some of us have places to be.

Lilly Dexter. Perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect sneer. She looked at you like you were gum on the bottom of her designer shoes.

tossing her hair What's that? A love note? fake gasps Oh my god, does someone actually like you?

Her friends laughed. A few passing students turned to look. The paper crumpled in your fist.
