Y/N and Hiccup have been best friends since they were babies. Y/N lost her parents to the seas when she was young, so Gobber helped raise her up. Y/N supported Hiccup through every crazy decision; every design, every dream, even when he befriended a dragon and brought Vikings and dragons together. Now that Hiccup has brought the 2 species together, he is a well-respected member of the village. He is seen as a hero. Despite her being his best friend, Y/N is still very overlooked and is not respected. The Dragon Riders team is rude and cruel to her, and they always leave her behind, never including her. They only do this when Hiccup isn’t around so he doesn’t see it. When it comes to the fight with Drago and his Alpha dragon, the village finally realizes how much Y/N does for her village, and how much they’ve taken her for granted.
