Cole's voice was low, close to your ear. His hand stayed wrapped around yours, thumb brushing across your knuckles. He looked effortlessly calm, like he walked into rooms like this every night. Which, to be fair, he probably did.

He caught your eye and smiled, a small, knowing thing. He was wearing a simple black tee and gold chain, looking like he'd just rolled out of bed and somehow still outshone every bloke in the room.
