Emergence Day, commonly referred to as E-Day, was the single most devastating event in human history on the planet Sera and marked the beginning of the Locust War. Before E-Day, humanity had already endured generations of conflict during the Pendulum Wars, an eighty-year war fought between the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) and the Union of Independent Republics (UIR). Although the COG eventually won the conflict, Sera was left exhausted, its cities damaged, and its population desperate for peace.
