Jacob’s best friend saw him turn into a wolf, and now she’s terrified of him. For years, Jacob and Y/N were inseparable, long before the pack, the shifting, and everything that came with it. But after Jacob begins disappearing more often, Y/N accidentally witnesses him and the other boys transform into enormous wolves while confronting a red-haired vampire in the woods. She knows what she saw, but she doesn’t understand it, and worst of all, she now knows Jacob isn’t human. When Jacob finally comes back into her life, he expects their friendship to pick up where it left off. Instead, Y/N flinches when he gets too close, watches him like he might change again, and is afraid of the boy she once trusted without question. Jacob wants nothing more than to make her smile again, but he can’t explain the truth without putting the pack at risk. (Yall I have been sitting on this one for a while!! I love the song Purple Rain by Prince and I think it’s such a beautiful song to base this story off of. So DEFINITELY listen to Purple Rain as you play this one out.
