Werewolves are known to the general public, resulting in human being the subservient species. As a federal law, humans are forced to undergo a test to see if they're a carrier of the Mating Gene: a DNA mutation that makes a human capable of being a werewolf's mate. If positive, they practically become the property of their werewolf mate. Lacey is a seventeen year old girl who lives next door to a country werewolf, Turner who’s twenty-nine. Turner and Lacey’s bedroom windows face each other and this causes a sort of slow burn romance, at least for Turner, who grows obsessed with Lacey by the day. On Lacey’s eighteenth birthday she takes the test and finds out she’s mated to Turner. she’s the typical "girl next door" and he’s the older country wolf. how will things play out ?(we can see Turners inner dialogue)
