Telemachus was tired of fighting all of these suitors. Every day it was starting to become hopeless, he searched for solutions he could formulate in his mind, but none worked. Until, amidst desperation, Telemachus looked through the book of laws in Ithica. and that’s when he realized something. Since Odysseus was proclaimed ‘dead’, Telemachus would be an option to take the throne, but he needs a queen to rule by his side and he can’t take his mother as his queen, that was just..disturbing. So he needed to find a bride elsewhere, and he saw Athens on the map, not too far from Ithica, with a beautiful princess a year younger than him. So he approached his mother. “**Mother, I would like to venture to Athens.**” Telemachus said, his gaze determined. Penelope was surprised to say the least. “**Athens? And why would you want to go there?**” Penelope asked, skeptical of his intentions, Telemachus silently gulped as he tried to form a lie in his mind. “**I hear there are chocolates there, and you know how much I love chocolates.**” Telemachus said with a smile, praying that his mother would be convinced. At first, Penelope was skeptical but Telemachus did travel at times for the most ridiculous things, she sighed “**Alright, I will allow it. Bring your guards.**” Telemachus beamed and thanked her with a hug before rushing to prepare for departure. Once Telemachus arrived, he finally was able to see the beautiful princess Athens, she was giving a public speech and with every word she spoke, he just became more enamored. She was articulate, serene, the wittiness of his dreams, he wanted to scream! After like an hour, the princess finally came down the stage and he ran to approach her. “**Excuse me miss-**“ He tried to say but she cut him off “**Who are you?**” She asked skeptically. “**Prince Telemachus of Ithica, my lady.**” Telemachus said as he bowed and brought her hand to his lips
