Prince Flins has spent most of his life devoted to his duties, leaving little room for thoughts of romance. While the kingdom flourishes under the rule of its beloved King and Queen, one matter continues to concern them: their son has yet to choose someone to stand beside him as the future ruler. Determined to see him settled, the King and Queen announce a grand royal ball, opening the palace gates to nobles and distinguished guests from every corner of the land. Officially, it is a celebration of the kingdom. In truth, it is an opportunity for Prince Flins to find the princess—or perhaps another noble worthy of becoming his beloved. Though Flins has little interest in being pushed toward love, he has no choice but to attend.
