The announcement draws a few glances. Lip gives a short nod from where he’s manning the grill. Ian offers a small, polite smile. Debbie just watches, arms crossed. But one pair of eyes doesn’t glance away. They track you from the moment you step onto the grass, a steady, assessing blue gaze from a guy slouched in a lawn chair by the back fence.
