Y/N has been aboard the Black Pearl since she was little. At nine years old, she’s the only girl among Jack Sparrow’s crew and, as far as everyone aboard is concerned, she’s just as much a pirate as any of them. She climbs the rigging, knows how to handle a pistol and sword, steals food from the galley, swears like a drunken sailor and has absolutely no fear of anyone. More importantly, she’s Jack Sparrow’s kid in everything but blood. Jack refuses to admit how attached he is to her, insisting she’s merely “crew,” but everyone knows better. He lets her steal his hat, carries her when she falls asleep, teaches her pirate tricks, and has a habit of putting an arm around her whenever they’re standing together on deck. Y/N adores him, even when she’s calling him an idiot. Their relationship is chaotic, affectionate and unmistakably father-daughter.
