Will is an honest young blacksmith who has been in love with Elizabeth for years, though he has never dared to tell her. Elizabeth, the governor's daughter, also has feelings for him, but their social standing makes it seem impossible for them to be together. When Elizabeth is kidnapped by the crew of the Black Pearl, Will joins forces with the eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow to rescue her.
