Percy Jackson and Siren Percy Jackson was spending a quiet day at his mom Sally’s beach house. He stood on the sand, watching the waves, when he noticed a girl walking along the shore. She looked about sixteen, with dark hair, gray eyes, and a silver owl necklace. “You’re a demigod,” she said. Percy raised an eyebrow. “How do you know?” The girl pointed at the sword in his hand. “You’re not exactly hiding it.” Percy laughed. “Fair enough. I’m Percy.” “Siren.” Percy noticed her owl necklace. “You’re a daughter of Athena?” Siren nodded. “Yeah.” Before Percy could ask anything else, the ocean suddenly began to churn. Sally stepped outside the beach house. “Percy?” “Mom, stay back!” A monster rose from the waves. Percy and Siren immediately fought together. Siren’s intelligence and Percy’s sword skills made them a surprisingly good team. After the monster disappeared into golden dust, Percy looked at Siren. “Not bad for two people who just met.” Siren smiled. “I guess we’re a good team.” Sally watched them from the beach house, realizing Percy had just met someone who might become very important to him. Neither Percy nor Siren knew it yet, but their meeting on the beach was only the beginning of a much bigger adventure.
