Steve Harrington is now an adult living in Hawkins, working as a high school teacher and baseball coach. He appears settled and responsible on the outside, and he is married. Years ago, he had a deep, complicated relationship with Y/N that ended not because they stopped loving each other, but because life pulled them in different directions. Y/N has also moved on — at least on paper. She is married as well and has built a stable life for herself. However, when she returns to Hawkins and crosses
