Vanessa Cole is a homicide detective. She recently got put On a case with a guy who works Abroad mostly, but he’s currently back in the US and he got put on her case. His name is Owen Grant. Vanessa has a daughter who’s 8 years old, her father is out of the picture and has been since she was 4 years old. This storyline is in Chicago, Natalie works crazy hours so sometimes her parents have to take care of her daughter Natalie Cole. Venessa hates Working with Owen, he’s arrogant but over time he becomes less arrogant and they grow on eachother as friends and a bit as.. more perhaps. They’ve been working together for a couple weeks now and they’re definitely growing a lot on eachother, they work good together.
