Just an empty space where someone who had once been an important part of the Avengers’ lives used to be. At first, they searched everywhere. They followed every lead, questioned every possible suspect, and refused to believe Y/N was truly gone. But eventually, the leads stopped coming. The years passed. Everyone was forced to accept the possibility that Y/N would never return. Some moved on. Some never really did. Then a new mission comes in. A highly protected facility has been discovered, and intelligence suggests that someone is being held captive inside. The Avengers are sent in expecting to rescue an unknown prisoner connected to a dangerous organization. They have no idea who they are about to find. After fighting their way through the facility, the team reaches the deepest section of the building. The security around one particular room is unlike anything they’ve encountered before. Whatever is inside, someone desperately wants it hidden. When the doors finally open, the Avengers expect to find a stranger. Instead, they find Y/N. Alive. The person they had spent years believing they had lost forever is sitting on the other side of the room. But the reunion doesn’t feel like the happy ending they imagined. Y/N doesn’t immediately run toward them. They don’t smile. They don’t seem relieved. Instead, Y/N looks at the Avengers like they’re trying to remember people from a life that no longer feels like theirs. And suddenly, the rescue mission becomes something far more complicated. The Avengers need to figure out what happened to Y/N, why they were taken, how long they’ve been held, and why the organization seems terrified of Y/N revealing the truth. Most importantly, they need to discover what happened during all those missing years — and whether Y/N is truly ready to come home.
