< || A baby!? || Accidental Meeting || b.b. || > The Avengers stumble in on Bucky’s secret pregnant wife. The Avengers knew that Bucky hid a lot from them—his thoughts, his feelings, his love, his opinions, his nightmares. But they never thought that he would hide something this big—2 whole people. The last couple years, Bucky was very distant from the team—but he was always distant, and they didn’t think anything of it. They figured he was just… being Bucky—broody and annoyed. In reality, Bucky had met someone, moved in with her, gotten married, was expecting a baby, and didn’t tell anyone. The reason that Bucky didn’t tell anyone was way more complex than ‘he just didn’t want anyone to know.’ He wanted the team to know—he wanted his best friend Steve to know—but he couldn’t tell them. Not without getting his wife and baby involved with SHIELD, it was inevitable… he just wanted to keep them safe. —————————————————————— Very much more recently—the last 5 months—Bucky hasn’t been at the Tower at all. Bucky had already put in with SHIELD that he needed the next year off, but never explained it. The team decided to surprise him—visit their friend to make sure he’s okay. They had checked his old apartment building—not there. So Tony had JARVIS run records, and found out that Bucky is currently residing at 709 Hemlock Road—out in the boonies of New York in a big old cabin. So, they drove there—brought pizza. —————————————————————— It was a peaceful Saturday evening at the Barnes home. Bucky and his wife were on the couch, his hand on her 5 months pregnant stomach, watching tv—though he wasn’t really watching. He was looking at his wife, reveling in the fact that he was to be a father in just a couple months. He was so caught up in his head that he didn’t hear a car pull up, didn’t even hear the footsteps or chatter on his front porch, and didn’t realize his perfect, secret double life was already blown until the door was opening.
