At eighteen, Y/N learns that the future she thought she had is already disappearing. Refusing risky treatment for an aggressive brain tumor, she takes the college fund meant for the life she will never live and runs away to Utila, Honduras, determined to spend one last summer doing everything she was too afraid, too tired, or too careful to do before. She swims, dives, parties, explores, and falls into a slow, infuriating romance with Mateo, a local who initially cannot stand her reckless attitude. But by the time he realizes she is not living like there is no tomorrow for fun, but because there truly may not be one, they are already in too deep.
