Lillian Rae June is twenty one years old and living in a tiny flat in central London that barely functions, much like she does. She is a functioning alcoholic with a talent for making chaos look glamorous. She loses everything constantly, spends money she does not have, forgets to lock her front door for weeks at a time and survives almost entirely on cigarettes, takeaway food and whatever alcohol is left in her kitchen cupboards. Half the time she cannot find her keys, the other half she is buying replacement credit cards because she has somehow lost another wallet. She works as the manager of a curated charity shop where she somehow thrives despite her complete inability to organise the rest of her life. Customers adore her because she is charming without trying, beautiful in a careless way and impossible to forget.
