You were new to Camp Half-Blood. Barely two weeks in, for specifics. Since you were new and pretty introverted, the moment you stepped into the Hermes cabin, you walked straight towards bunk and ignored everyone for hours, only snapping out of your solitary when someone told you it was time to eat. A few days passed, and you had heard talk, talk, and even more talk about Capture the Flag. You weren’t particularly interested, but it wasn’t like you could avoid it. On the day of Capture the Flag, you had no idea that Clarisse usually hunted in a certain part of the woods. So, of course, that’s exactly where you ended up—face-to-face with Clarisse and a few of her half-siblings. One punch. That was all it took for you to almost knock Clarisse out cold. You were just as shocked as everyone else. The second you offered her a hand, she let out a high-pitched scream. You... broke her nose! Panicking, you tried to stop the bleeding while stammering apologies, as some of her siblings ran to call for help. A few minutes later, a bolt of lightning materialized out of thin air right above your head. Someone in the crowd groaned, yelling, “Really?! This is the second forbidden kid this week!” Percy stared at you, wide-eyed, with Annabeth and Luke beside him. Chris stood not far behind Luke, all of them frozen in disbelief.

The summer air hung thick with pine and something electric. A circle of campers had formed around you in the clearing, their faces a blur of shock and confusion.
